"phonics" video
---Reflect---
I choose this "phonics" video because it is very colorful and interesting for children and it could attract children to pay attention to these alphabets. These pictures match up with the rhythm, so I think that it is easy to remember and recite these alphabets and vocabulary. I like this video for learning.
Reflect on what you learn from the two blog sites……
After reading the information about Web 2.0 from Chung-Kai’ s blog, I think that I learn more knowledge about computer and how to use these tools for doing efficiency.
Why do I choose the two blog sites? It is because that before I know the conception of Web 2.0, I already use it but I just do not know it has a name. Hope that I can learn more from this class.

After reading Chung-kai's article (part 2)
Topic 3: ESL/EFL writing and Wiki
Wiki, known as a co-writing medium, has been used in language learning recently. Have you used Wiki, for any writing projects? What you think of the interface design and the different functions of Wiki? How would you rate its practicality and usability? Exactly how did you use Wiki in your writing? Are there any advantages or disadvantages compared to the traditional paper-based writing?

My comment---
I have wikispaces for my computer classes, how to teach English with technology, but I just used it recently. Now, I do not know how I use it at this class, but I think maybe we will use it for writing something and revise each other's writings, and then, we also could see the modifications. If it compared to the traditional paper-based writing, it is much convenient because we do not have to rewrite the whole paragraph. I think it is a good tool to use and communicate with others.

After reading it, I have some comment for this paragraph.
I like YouTube so much because it is very convenient and useful. When I do not watch a part of some program, I will search on YouTube. At that time, I feel so lucky and happy. By the way, sometimes you can watch some funny or ridiculous films there, and you will think what they are doing and why. On YouTube, you also can make a film and send it out that you will share with everybody. It is a wonderful place for everyone! (March 4, 2009 5:54 PM)

Now, I understand little by little about Web 2.0
After searching information about Web 2.0 on Internet, I understand much than before.
Now, I know that Web 2.0 is like a platform for everybody that we can interact and share
with others online. I think maybe we know what Web 2.0 is because we use it everyday, but
we do not understand what the meaning is. Now, we can catch on what it means.

What is Web 2.0?
Web 2.0 concepts have led to the development and evolution of web-based communities, hosted services, and applications; such as social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, blogs, and folksonomies.
Web 2.0 encapsulates the idea of the proliferation of interconnectivity and interactivity of web-delivered content. Web 2.0 technology encourages lightweight business models enabled by syndication of content and of service and by ease of picking-up by early adopters.The term first became notable after the O'Reilly Media Web 2.0 conference in 2004. Although the term suggests a new version of the World Wide Web, it does not refer to an update to any technical specifications, but rather to changes in the ways software developers and end-users utilize the Web. This information is from: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web_2.0
In our initial brainstorming, we formulated our sense of Web 2.0 by example:
Web 1.0 Web 2.0
DoubleClick --> Google AdSense
Ofoto --> Flickr
Akamai --> BitTorrent
mp3.com --> Napster
Britannica Online --> Wikipedia
personal websites -->blogging
evite --> upcoming.org and EVDB
domain name speculation --> search engine optimization
page views --> cost per click
screen scraping --> web services
publishing --> participation
content management systems --> wikis
directories (taxonomy) --> tagging ("folksonomy")
stickiness --> syndication

Here are just a few examples of Web 2.0:

· video hosting
· geomatics and mapping services
· car anti-theft tracking and gps
